Phaedr

Phaedr is... to put it simply, aloof. He's almost always in his head, thinking about this and that... mostly about sea shells. Relatively quiet and withdrawn(though not shy), Phaedr spends hours upon hours scouring the ocean floor for items of interest. Sometimes it's sea shells, other times it is human relics, pieces of coral, and sometimes just random merfolk items that others have left behind. Despite the fact he doesn't talk much, Phaedr is far from socially anxious. If anything, he is confident around others... so confident that he often doesn't pay attention to anyone. Really, he's so absorbed in what he's doing that he just... doesn't pay attention. This has caused him some issues- namely because he'll wander places he shouldn't be, not listen to people talking to him, and not pay attention to the blatant signs of danger around him.

He's gotten in a lot of scuffs, lost many friends, and very thoroughly pissed off both his parents to the point they gave up on him. As much as it has cost him, he can't seem to pay attention. His mind wanders off and before he knows it, he's scanning the ocean floor for any items to inspect.

Seems like a difficult guy to hang out with, right? Well... yeah... but every now and again, when he isn't wandering off on his own, he does happen to be genuine. Notably... if you get on his good side, he'll probably start decorating you with pretty things he's found on the ocean floor. If you don't want to be decorated, he'll just as happily hand them to you as well- or even place them around you in an intricate and grand display.

Don't touch his collection, though. You may only touch what he gives you. If you mess with the items he has painstakingly stored for safe keeping, you will ruin his trust and he will likely refuse to let you near his collection and ignore you on purpose.
